n May 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the invitation of Mikhail Arkadyevich Bryzgalov, Director of the State Museum of Music of the Russian Federation, Zhang Jingxuan, Founder and Director of the Dalian World Music Culture Museum in China, delivered keynote speeches titled "Advocating New Museum Concepts: Making Museum Visits a Contemporary Lifestyle" and "How Museums Can Resonate with Commerce to Create a Positive Ecological Cycle." The nearly 90-minute session featured active dialogue between the audience and Director Zhang, who addressed numerous specialised questions related to the museum. His insightful responses earned deep recognition from attendees and provided Russian participants with a more concrete understanding of China's music and cultural museum development. After the event, Moscow State University students lingered long after the conclusion. As representatives of Generation Z (digital natives born between 1995 and 2009), they hoped this platform would offer more opportunities to understand the development of Chinese music and cultural museums. This serves as a crucial reference for their post-graduation career planning! They also aspire to contribute their own efforts to the thriving cause of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation upon returning home with the knowledge they have acquired.
Before the forum commenced, a professor from Moscow State Gnesin Academy of Music performed a captivating piece on a century-old accordion from the Volga River region. This instrument was graciously donated by Director Mikhail Arkadyevich Bryzgalov, representing the State Museum of Music of the Russian Federation, to Zhang Jingxuan, Founder and Director of China's Dalian World Music Culture Museum.
China and Russia are friendly neighbours with a long-standing history of friendship. Gathering here today, we also strive to contribute our modest efforts to the friendly exchange and collaborative development of cultural heritage preservation between our two nations!
